Sight Word Caterpillar Bulletin Board

Here's how we're keeping our sight words fresh and relevant: we're using a sight word caterpillar!

Each time we learn a new word he gets a bit longer. Words that are too easy-peasy for us get pulled down occasionally, as well.

To make our caterpillar I cut out circles after tracing a jar of appropriate size. I used self adhesive paper because I had a lot of it given to me, but any paper would suffice. I cut two sets of feet and some antanae as well. Last, I drew a face on one circle, and assembled the caterpillar on the bulletin board. As we learned new words I wrote them onto the circles.

What ways have you been reinforcing sight words lately?
