We made some shamrock window clings
We set some leprechaun traps
But the crafty little leprechaun still got in and made little messes everywhere!
He even used our bathroom!
The quote of the morning came from our oldest when he discovered what the leprechaun had done: "Uh, Mom, you know that *we* didn't make this mess, right?!" Smile.
We had a treasure hunt to find a pot of gold
...and ate rainbow waffles with homemade maple whipped cream and green monster juice
We attended our local St. Patrick's Day parade and went to have Irish Breakfast Tea at our local Irish Heritage Center. (Yes, all those balloons are tied to *our* stroller...)
We practiced some shamrock counting using these printables
And did pepper shamrock painting that we learned about here
We ate leprechaun sandwiches for lunch...
...and ate gluten-free Irish Soda Bread (using this recipe from Elana's Pantry) for dinner. And of course we enjoyed a home-brewed, gluten-free beer to boot. It wouldn't have been right *not* to.
And now the kids are sleeping soundly and I'm not far behind them. I am wishing you and your families a marvelous St. Patrick's Day!
