So what's a mom to do? Well, I found these amazing squeeze yogurt molds on the 100 Days of Whole Foods blog, and immediately bought two packs. (See their post about using these molds successfully here.) We're doing what our family always does: we're making our own!
Here's how we're doing it at our house:
Put your favorite fruit (apples, mango, banana, papaya, berries) in a bowl with a couple tablespoons of honey
Use an immersion blender to smoosh it all up. Yup, it must be smooshy.
Mix in a couple cups of plain yogurt
Use a funnel to fill each tube (leave a little room at the top for the cap to go on)
All filled up, with caps on
We keep them in a measuring cup to avoid spills in the event of a topless yogurt situation
